Just finished the logo, navigation and website shell design for a Columbus Streetcar Citizen Support website I’m been working on. This is currently a pet project I started in order to collect information about the proposed Columbus Streetcar system, along with information about other systems that are being developed across the country.

Panoramic Photography

April 15th, 2008

While it may not seem like the most useful or applicable technology when considering the ebusiness needs of most companies, panoramic photography has it’s uses. I’ve used it personally for about 3 years now, having gotten into the technology as a hobby.

Using it for “virtual” tours in the real estate industry is definitely the best known use of the technology, but as opposed to using panoramas to look around a given location, you can also use it to spin objects around to inspect them from all sided.

They definitely have their uses.

The technology used to show interactive panoramas on the web have also had a history of being very large downloads and performing very slowly, especially on older computers. That was until recently.

Take a peek at an Adobe Flash-based panorama player that makes easy work of displaying panorama’s,which also lets you view them in full-screen mode (look for the icon all the way to the right that looks like as doubled up window).

Ws2 now offers panoramic photography as our latest service addition. Contact me to discuss your project and pricing.

Witspigot & Wellspring has formed a business alliance with W&Co Agency, a boutique advertising agency based in Italian Village of Columbus, Ohio. Given our focus on small businesses and highly custom solutions, we’ve decided to work with each other in order to be able to offer our clients a full-service experience that is based on an a-la-carte approach to selecting the services they need.

Columbus RetroMetro: Ws2’s Prime Web Property

Columbus RetroMetro is what I refer to as my Web Property. Witspigot & Wellspring is actually the parent organization I have formed which not only offers ebusiness consulting, design and development work, but also manages it’s own Web Property.

Not unlike real estate property, Columbus RetroMetro is a piece of Web Property which is the result of my own web-business centered on urban revitalization and real estate.

A large part of my experience and expertise in utilizing the web to expand small businesses comes not only from 12 years of experience in the Internet industry, but also from 4 years of running my own website which is a source of revenue generation.

If your curious about what it takes to bring an idea alive on the web, I love to tell the story. Share your story with me and let’s see if we can make it happen.

Witspigot & Wellspring has just launched the CAFEISTANBUL.COM website which we’ve taken over maintenance and hosting for. While I must admit I always enjoy designing and building the web solutions I work with from scratch, I also enjoy the occasional chance to see someone else’s work.

This web solution was developed using a simple Adobe Flash introduction animation, with the rest of the site and a small set of web-based content administration tools having been developed using Microsoft’s ASP.NET technology.

Witspigot.com goes live!

March 14th, 2008

This is the first posting in a long line to come from Witspigot & Wellspring’s “Turn on the Wit Spigot” company blog. This is the channel I’ll be using to put out news, information and observations on my new company, the industry and the state of entrepreneurial affairs here in downtown Columbus, Ohio.

 Stay tuned…
